    Lichen Planus

A young girl aged 19 yrs Miss S. C. (patient reference number 8445) came to our clinic to seek treatment for lichen planus. She had lesions all over body except face and neck since 3 years. She suffered from hyper pigmented scattered spots with some active lesions and severe itching. This ailment showed up after excess mental stress. Skin biopsy diagnosed interface dermatitis consistent with lichenoid drug eruptions. She was on steroidal treatment for almost 1 yr which didn’t show much relief.

She also suffered from recurrent upper respiratory tract infection with sneezing and nasal blockage and frontal sinusitis when taking any cold drink or food.

She had average appetite, thirst, and perspiration with craving for sweets. Her bowels movements were satisfactory.

Her basic nature was to get tensed and irritated easily. She was short tempered with brooding tendency. Revengeful attitude. Marked fear of water.

Family had strong history of ischemic heart disease, Diabetes Mellitus and cancer.

On the basis of her detailed case study Dr. Shah prescribed her Staphysagria 200 and research based remedy. Next when she reported to us after a month her lichen planus lesions were about 25% better and there was substantial reduction in the itching.

In the subsequent visits the LP showed considerable improvement. Most of the lesions disappeared within 8 months and the marks began fading gradually.

The intensity of her respiratory infections had considerably reduced.

The marks reduced to a great extent she had never imagined. She is continuing with the treatment for best results with homeopathy.
